Profile

Bret Perry is a Shareholder who concentrates his practice in the areas of the defense of physician, nursing, hospital, long-term care and malpractice claims.  In addition, he has extensive appellate experience including the handling of oral arguments before varying state and federal courts of appeal.

Mr. Perry is a frequent lecturer and has presented numerous continuing education programs on topics such as medical record documentation, civil and appellate practice, hospital quality assurance and risk management and nursing home litigation.  He currently serves as co-chairman of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys Medical Malpractice and Nursing Home Litigation Committee.

Prior to joining BSMPH, Mr. Perry served as a judicial staff attorney to the Honorable Nancy R. McDonnell, Presiding Judge, of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, as a staff attorney to Judge Michael J. Corrigan and to Judge Frank D. Celebreeze of the Eighth District Court of Appeals, Ohio.

Mr. Perry is a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Desert Storm conflict.
